8.- What would happen if I disabled the Automatic Protection (files and Internet)?

The automatic protection (of files and Internet), protects you at all times. It constantly scans all of the files involved in the operations that are carried out (by the system and by you) and those that come through Internet. It is HIGHLY ADVISABLE to enable it.

By default (after the antivirus has been installed), it will be enabled. From Home, in the section Self-diagnosis of automatic protection, the automatic protection current status will be displayed (Enabled, Disabled or Error). In addition, the antivirus icon in the toolbar, will be blue (enabled), or gray (Disabled). In order to change the status follow the steps below:

  • From the Home menu. Access this menu and click on the option Configure automatic protection. From there, check or uncheck the box Enable automatic protection (recommended).

  • From the antivirus icon on the Windows taskbar. If it is open (enabled or disabled), the antivirus icon will appear on the taskbar (next to the clock). Right-click on it and select Enable automatic protection.

  • From the Configuration menu. From there, select the option Configure automatic protection.
